Internships & Job Opportunities

An important part of the Northeastern University experience is to integrate academic and work activities. Also important for many students is securing employment after graduation. This part of our website provides a searchable database to help students identify internships as well as relevant job opportunities.

Internships

Internships provide graduate and undergraduate students with academic credit for work experience during their time as a student. An internship is an important example of experiential education and is an opportunity to test in the field various tools and concepts developed in the classroom.

Students receive academic credit (3 credits for graduate students and 4 credits for undergraduate students) for an internship. To learn more about the requirements for an internship, see "Doing an Internship in Political Science."

Job Opportunities

Outside employment relevant to the world of politics and political science can be valuable for current students and is a goal for many graduates. Periodically, the Department is notified of job opportunities, which are recorded in the database (see below).
